Several former employees of artificial intelligence firm xAI have highlighted the lax safety aspects in the development of the company's models and chatbots, following a wave of resignations from its technical team and co-founders in recent times.
Quoting Techcrunch, which also reported on The Verge, a former employee said xAI CEO Elon Musk actively pushed for the Grok chatbot to be made less restricted by security systems.
According to the source, this approach sparked internal concerns about the risk of misuse of the technology.
