The Indonesian U-17 national team has officially been placed in Group B of the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup, according to the draw conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Kuala Lumpur.
In Group B, Indonesia is in the same group as the most successful team in this tournament, namely Japan, which has four titles won in 1994, 2006, 2018, and most recently in 2023 when they beat South Korea with a score of 3-0 in Thailand.
Besides Japan, Garuda Muda is also grouped with China in Group B. They are the second most successful team in this tournament because they won two championship titles, the same number obtained by South Korea, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
