Indonesia has officially submitted its bid to host the 2031 Asian Cup, according to the AFC's official website on Wednesday.
In a statement, the AFC announced that the bidding process for the 2031 Asian Cup was completed last year. Besides Indonesia, eight other countries submitted bids to host the tournament.
Of the eight countries, three countries have applied to be joint hosts.
Indonesia's competitors are Australia, India, South Korea, Kuwait, and three countries that have proposed to be co-hosts, namely Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
In its statement, the AFC also announced that the United Arab Emirates had withdrawn from the bidding process to host the 2031 Asian Cup.
