Sassuolo, strengthened by Indonesian national team defender Jay Idzes, was thrashed 0-5 by Inter Milan in an Italian League match at Mapei Stadium early Monday morning WIB.
Sassuolo were also forced to play with 10 men.
This result strengthens Inter's position at the top of the Serie A table with 58 points, eight points ahead of second-place Milan. Sassuolo, meanwhile, remains in 11th place with 29 points.
Jay Idzes started the match, guarding Sassuolo's back line, but the home side's defense was under constant pressure from Inter from the start.
Inter took the lead in the 11th minute after defender Yann Bisseck headed Federico Dimarco's corner past goalkeeper Arjanet Muric.
Dimarco almost doubled the score with a lob attempt that hit the post.
Inter's second goal came in the 28th minute from Dimarco's low pass which was met by Marcus Thuram in front of goal.
