Winning 2-0 at Valencia, Real Madrid maintains their distance from Barcelona
Real Madrid narrowed the gap on Barcelona after winning 2-0 at Valencia's home ground at the Mestalla Stadium, Monday morning WIB, thanks to goals from Alvaro Carreras and Kylian Mbappe.

Madrid is once again in close pursuit of Barcelona at the top of the table. Alvaro Arbeloa's team has collected 57 points, just one point behind the Blaugrana.

Valencia are sinking further down the table after suffering their 10th defeat of the season and are stuck in 17th place with 23 points, as LaLiga has shown.

From the start of the match, Madrid appeared dominant and immediately put pressure on the hosts.

Federico Valverde was the driving force behind Los Blancos' attack. He created a chance in the 11th minute with a long-range shot that went wide of the target.

Valencia responded with Unai Nunez's shot from outside the box, but it sailed over Thibaut Courtois' goal.

Mbappe threatened Valencia's goal several times, including a powerful shot from Gonzalo García's through ball, but goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski was quick to block it.
