Liverpool head coach Arne Slot said Joe Gomez's condition is still doubtful ahead of the Reds' away match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, Thursday (12/2) at 03.15 WIB, in the 26th week of the 2025/2026 Premier League.
This situation has left Liverpool with a right-back crisis after they previously lost Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong to injury, as well as Dominik Szoboszlai, who could play in that role, due to serving a red card suspension for his performance against Manchester City.
"Joe hasn't trained with us yet," Slot said in a pre-match press conference, as quoted from the club's official website on Tuesday.
"I hope he'll train with us for the first time today. Of course, if Joe isn't ready to start, then we're missing four players who have played in that position," he added.
Gomez has been out of action since the end of last month, when he was substituted in the 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth on January 24.
