Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac said mental toughness was a factor in his team's 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg in the 2025/2026 German League match at the Volkswagen Arena Stadium.
"My team then showed their mental quality. We were able to win the match thanks to our quality, plus a bit of luck," Kovac said, as quoted on Borussia Dortmund's official website on Sunday.
The Croatian tactician said that mental toughness was crucial because the match against Wolfsburg was intense and saw both teams trade dominance.
