Lazio advanced to the Italian Cup semifinals after defeating Bologna on penalties in the quarterfinals at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium, Bologna, early Thursday morning WIB.
The two teams drew 1-1 after 90 minutes, sending the match to a penalty shootout, which Lazio won 4-1, according to Coppa Italia records.
Bologna took the lead through Santiago Castrol, but Tijjani Noslin brought Lazio level.
In the semifinals, Lazio met Atalanta in a two-legged match held on March 3-5 and April 21-23.
Bologna created the first chance through Nicolo Cambiaghi whose effort hit the Lazio crossbar.
Bologna scored in the 30th minute after Nikola Moro's corner was met by Santiago Castro's header which found the back of the net.
