Manchester City reached the League Cup final after beating Newcastle 3-1.
Manchester City advanced to the Carabao Cup final after defeating Newcastle United 3-1 in the second leg of the semifinal at the Etihad Stadium, Thursday morning WIB.

This result made The Citizens win 5-1 on aggregate, according to the EFL website on Thursday.

Despite winning 2-0 in the first leg, City remained aggressive from the start of the match.

Their quick pressure paid off after just seven minutes. Omar Marmoush opened the scoring for the hosts, extending their aggregate lead.

Marmoush again threatened alongside Tijani Reijnders and Antoine Semenyo to force Newcastle's defense to work extra hard.

Amidst the home side's onslaught, The Magpies had a golden opportunity through Anthony Gordon in the 21st minute, but his effort was thwarted by goalkeeper James Trafford.

City doubled their lead in the 29th minute after Marmoush got his name back on the scoresheet by exploiting a gap in Newcastle's defense.
