Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid emphasized that government communications in the digital era must be carried out quickly and accurately to avoid being left behind by disinformation circulating in the public sphere.
"Now, when we are not fast, we give space for disinformation to enter," said Meutya Hafid while giving direction at the Bakohumas Forum entitled "GPR Outlook 2026: One Narrative, Building the Nation's Reputation" at the Borobudur Hotel.
He stated that the old paradigm of public communication, which prioritized accuracy over speed, is no longer relevant to current conditions. He argued that delays in delivering information could potentially lead to the public receiving incomplete and inaccurate information.
