Persijap came to Ternate with a good mentality
Persijap Jepara will visit Gelora Kieraha Stadium in Ternate for week 21 of the 2025-2026 BRI Super League to face hosts Malut United, with a strong mentality to aim for full points.

Persijap coach Divaldo Alves emphasized on Thursday that his team is coming to Ternate with high confidence after their victory over Madura United, and that all the players are in good mental condition and ready to fight for points at their opponents' home ground.

"We came with a strong mentality after our win over Madura. All the players were united and ready to fight for points," said Divaldo.

He also revealed that Persijap had deliberately arrived in Ternate early to maximize recovery and perfect their preparations for facing the hosts. He believes this match will be special because Malut United is under pressure after two consecutive defeats.

Meanwhile, Persijap player Carlos Franca emphasized that his team is ready to face Malut United, a team known for its strong home-field performance.

"We've had a long recovery, and we know Malut United is a strong team. We're here to fight and give our best," he said.

Malut United itself has a poor record when facing promoted teams at Gelora Kieraha Stadium.

In the first round, Laskar Kie Raha lost 0-2 to PSIM Yogyakarta, and at the start of the second round they lost again 1-2 to Bhayangkara FC.

Malut United is currently in fourth place in the standings with 37 points, while Persijap Jepara is still stuck in 17th place with 15 points.
