Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz has suffered a muscle injury and will be out for some time, including the North London derby on February 22, according to The Athletic.
The German only returned to action last month after missing almost the entire 2025 season due to injury. Havertz has played in the Gunners' last four matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
Before facing city rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal will first face Brentford on Friday (February 13th) WIB, Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Sunday (February 15th), and Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday (February 22nd) next week. Havertz is certain to miss these matches.
Havertz has indeed experienced a number of injury problems over the past year. He suffered a torn hamstring in his right leg during Arsenal's training camp in Dubai in February 2025.
He underwent surgery and returned to action towards the end of the 2024/2025 season, but was then sidelined for another five months due to a knee injury sustained in August. Currently, his latest muscle injury is not considered as serious as his previous ones.
The 26-year-old's injury adds to a long list of Arsenal absentees, including Mikel Merino, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Max Dowman.
