Manchester City displayed their champions' mentality as they came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory at Liverpool's Anfield on Sunday in the 25th week of the 2025/2026 Premier League season.
In that match, City fell behind early on when Liverpool took the lead through a beautiful free-kick goal from Dominik Szoboszlai in the 74th minute.
Not wanting to drop points, City refused to give up. They then equalized 10 minutes later through Bernardo Silva. City's victory was sealed in the 90+3 minute through Erling Haaland's penalty.
These additional three points keep City's gap with Arsenal at six points, with City in second place with 50 points and Arsenal at the top with 56 points.
The title race may be down to just Arsenal and City, after third-placed Aston Villa stumbled again. This time, Unai Emery's side drew 1-1 with hosts AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
