Russell, who is a strong contender for the world title this season, is eager to compete against Max Verstappen.
"I'd love to go head-to-head with Max, and of course, Lando had a great season last year. But no, it doesn't add any pressure," Russell was quoted as saying by Motorsport on Thursday.
