Satya Wacana Salatiga recorded its first win of the season after defeating Pacific Caesar Surabaya 84-67 in an IBL match at the Prof. Susilo Wibowo Basketball Sports Hall, Semarang, Saturday night.
"We just tried to play more aggressively. But it was quite tough against the Pacific team, especially stopping their number two player (AJ Bramah). But we finally won, and we'll celebrate this victory," said Satya Wacana's foreign player Serhii Pavlov after the match.
This was Satya Wacana's first win of the season, bringing their record to 1-8. Meanwhile, Pacific's form has worsened, suffering their 10th consecutive defeat, becoming the only team without a win in week six.
The match was tight throughout the first three quarters. Both teams traded points before Satya Wacana found momentum in the fourth quarter.
