"One of the upcoming events is the 2026 Shokaido National Championship, which will be held in Lampung. The Banten Shokaido Provincial Executive will send athletes to the event, so this Provincial Championship will also serve as a selection event," said Acting Chairman of Shokaido Banten, Tengku Dzekri Dahlan, in a written statement.
Dzekri said this championship is one of the provincial government's programs to develop athletes.
The selected athletes will be prepared to take part in higher level championships in a training camp.
The athletes were previously trained and coached by coaches at the dojos in each branch. Therefore, the Provincial Championship also serves as a platform to demonstrate the training and coaching provided by the coaches at each dojo and in each branch.
