Proliga Deputy Director Regi Nelwan stated that the climate of the 2026 Proliga national volleyball competition at Ken Arok Sports Hall, Malang City, East Java, on February 5-8, 2026 will be more intense due to the increasingly tight competition between the competing teams.
Regi, speaking in Malang City, East Java, on Wednesday, said the improved quality of the Proliga was due to each volleyball club carrying out thorough and detailed preparations.
"If I were to say yes (the competitive climate is getting tougher), all teams are capable of performing competitively," said Regi.
The increasingly fierce competition has ultimately impacted the prestige of Proliga, attracting the interest of many quality foreign players.
"There's a new player from BJB (Bandung BJB Tandamata) who's already registered and is a foreign player from Italy. Even though the competition in his home country is one of the best, he wants to play here," he said.
