Tiwi/Fadia failed to save Indonesia against Japan in the 2026 BATC.
Indonesian women's doubles pair Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti failed to save Indonesia from defeat when they played against Japan in Group X of the 2026 Asian Team Championships (BATC) at Qingdao Conson Gymnasium, China, Thursday.

Playing in the fourth match, Tiwi/Fadia acknowledged the superiority of the Japanese pair Kie Nakanishi/Miyu Takahashi in two straight games 20-22, 16-21.

This result left Indonesia trailing 1-3 against Japan, so the outcome of the match was no longer decisive, although there was still one match remaining between Ni Kadek Dhinda Ayu Pratiwi and Yuzono Watanabe.

In addition, Indonesia is also confirmed to advance to the quarter-finals with the status of runner-up of Group X and Japan as Group champion.

Tiwi/Fadia actually started the first game quite well. They exploited a gap in their opponent's defense and turned the game around with six consecutive points to take a 7-3 lead. The Indonesian pair also maintained their narrow lead until the interval, with a score of 11-10.

However, constant pressure from Nakanishi/Takahashi began to wear on Tiwi/Fadia after the break. A lapse in judgment in a crucial phase allowed the Japanese pair to level the score at 20-20 before winning two consecutive points to secure the first game 22-20.
