Van Gastel is not worried about PSIM Yogyakarta going through three matches without a win
PSIM Yogyakarta coach Jean-Paul van Gastel said he was not worried even though his team had gone three matches without a win in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League competition.
Quoted from the club's official website, Monday, Van Gastel asked the public to look at the broader context, considering that PSIM Yogyakarta has the status of a promoted team.
The Dutch coach explained that PSIM Yogyakarta is a team with a limited budget and he believes the team's ability to compete in the middle of the Super League table is on track.

"We just launched with a small budget. But I think what my team did was much better than what people thought," he said.
In their previous three matches in the Super League competition, PSIM Yogyakarta has not been able to win after losing to Borneo FC and Persebaya Surabaya, and being held to a draw by Persis Solo.
Specifically regarding the Persis Solo match, Van Gastel admitted he was very disappointed because Ze Valente and his colleagues dominated the match.
"The result is disappointing. I think we created enough chances to win the game. But I can't blame my players," said Van Gastel.
"They did everything. This game was actually one-way traffic (we dominated). If you look at today's game, I think it's a miracle we didn't win," he said.
Next, in the 21st week of the Super League, PSIM Yogyakarta is scheduled to visit Persik Kediri's headquarters at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, Friday (13/2) at 15.30 WIB.
