WBO world champion Stevenson challenges UFC champion Topuria in the boxing ring
World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight (63.5 kg) world champion Shakur Stevenson challenged Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight (70.3 kg) champion Ilia Topuria to a fight in the ring.

"Tell him (Ilia Topuria) to come and fight me," said Shakur Stevenson in a conversation on Adin Ross' YouTube channel, which was monitored.

In a conversation with Adin Ross, Stevenson and his mentor Terence Crawford discussed the differences between mixed martial arts or MMA and boxing.

Stevenson also openly challenged Topuria to try professional boxing, responding to "El Matador"'s statement that MMA was more than boxing.

"You have to take back what you said. You said UFC is better than boxing. That's not true," he said.

Crawford also chimed in with his assessment that the UFC would never be better than boxing, which Stevenson followed up with, "Absolutely not."
