Eyewitnesses said that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike east of Khan Younis at dawn on Tuesday, coinciding with the Israeli navy randomly shelling the city's coastline.
In Gaza City, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern areas, particularly in the Shuja'iyya and Tuffah neighborhoods, while the navy fired shells and machine gun fire towards the city's coast.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, the Israeli occupation army has killed 630 Palestinians and wounded 1,698 others in its continued violations through shelling and gunfire.
The agreement was reached two years after a genocidal war launched by Israel on October 8, 2023, with American support, which left more than 72,000 martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded Palestinians, and caused massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
settler attacks
In the West Bank, shepherds and Palestinian citizens were attacked by the Israeli occupation army on Tuesday, while extremist settlers attacked homes in the Hebron governorate in the southern occupied West Bank.
The Al-Bader human rights organization said in a statement that Israeli occupation forces attacked citizens and shepherds in Khirbet Janba in the Masafer Yatta area, as part of a series of ongoing harassments to which citizens in the area are subjected.
She added that the occupation army fired sound bombs towards the sheep pens, which led to a state of panic and tension among the residents, after settlers chased shepherds and farmers in the area.
In a related context, the organization reported that dozens of settlers launched an attack on homes in the Hamroush area, east of the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron, and opened fire, causing fear and panic among the Palestinians.
arrests
The Israeli occupation army arrested about 40 Palestinians, including two women, at dawn on Tuesday, during a large-scale raid campaign that targeted areas in the occupied West Bank.
The Prisoners' Media Office (non-governmental) stated in a statement that "the Israeli army carried out an arrest campaign at dawn on Tuesday that targeted 40 citizens in the West Bank, including two women."
He pointed out that these arrests come in the context of extensive raids and frequent field investigations within residential neighborhoods, amid escalating military measures in various areas of the West Bank.
The arrest campaigns continue during the month of Ramadan, especially coinciding with the times of Suhoor and Fajr prayer, in disregard of the status of the month of fasting for Muslims.
Old Askar Camp
In this context, around 500 soldiers of the Israeli occupation army continued for the second day to storm the old Askar refugee camp for Palestinian refugees in the Nablus governorate in the northern occupied West Bank, according to a local source.
The Israeli occupation army stormed the camp at dawn on Monday, imposed a siege on the citizens and began a large-scale raid operation.
In parallel with the war on the Gaza Strip since October 8, 2023, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,121 Palestinians, the injury of about 11,700, in addition to the arrest of about 22,000, according to Palestinian data.
