Indonesian men's singles player Alwi Farhan admitted his performance was anticlimactic after finishing as runner-up at the 2026 Swiss Open, losing to Japanese representative Yushi Tanaka in the final.
In the match which took place at St Jakobshalle, Basel, Sunday, the sixth seed was defeated in two straight games with a score of 18-21, 12-21.
"I'm definitely grateful. It's been an incredible week, and it hasn't been easy either, as I've had to overcome many challenges. It's a shame I felt like the final was anticlimactic, but I admit Yushi played better," Alwi said after the match, as quoted in an official PBSI statement.
