RANS Simba Bogor coach Antonius Joko said his team started the match slowly, resulting in a 101-105 loss against Kesatria Bengawan Solo, in the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) match, at the SV IPB Gymnasium, Bogor.
He explained that RANS was quite far behind in the first two quarters before finally being able to catch up and force the match into extra time.
"We started too slowly, or got too hot, which is why we didn't score much in the first two quarters because we didn't respond quickly in defensive transitions ," Antonius said after the match.
He further explained that his team lost momentum from the start of the match because they were late in finding their rhythm.
This condition allows the opponent to take advantage of the transition well and build an advantage from the start of the match.
RANS even fell behind by 18 points until the end of the second quarter.
However, Antonius appreciated the efforts of the players who were able to improve their performance in the last two quarters, forcing the match to continue into overtime .
