Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti said he had deliberately called up several new players to his squad for the friendly matches against France and Croatia in the United States (US) at the end of March 2026, as preparation for the World Cup.
"The call-ups weren't made to assess their abilities, as we already know that. What I want to see is how the new players adapt to the team's environment and characteristics. Of course, we will evaluate all the players," Ancelotti said, as quoted on the Brazilian Football Federation.
Ancelotti included four Brazilian national team debutants in the latest list, namely Leo Pereira , Gabriel Sara , Rayan Vitor and Igor Thiago .
