Indonesian men's singles player Prahdiska Bagas Shujiwo is the only Indonesian representative remaining in the final of the 2026 Ruichang China Masters at Ruichang Sports Park Gym, China.
Bagas secured his place in the final of the BWF Super 100 tournament without having to compete in the semifinals on Saturday, after his South Korean opponent, Park Sang-yong, decided to withdraw from the match.
In the final, Bagas will face the defending champion, Sun Chao, the host nation. This match presents a unique challenge for Bagas, as Sun will be playing with the full support of the home crowd.
Bagas currently sits at 45th in the world rankings, significantly ahead of Sun, who sits at 175th. However, non-technical factors such as match atmosphere and crowd support are expected to be a challenge for the Indonesian player.
China demonstrated its dominance in the tournament, advancing seven players to the final. In fact, the host nation secured three titles in the men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles after an all-Chinese final.
