Bayern Munich thrashed Atalanta 6-1
Bayern Munich celebrated their goal-fest against Atalanta after winning the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 6-1 at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo.

Two of Munich's six goals were scored by Michael Olise, while the other four were scored by Josip Stanisic, Serge Gnarby, Nicolas Jackson, and Jamal Musiala. Atalanta got a consolation goal from Mario Pasalic, according to UEFA records.

This victory means Bayern only need a draw in the second leg at the Allianz Arena in Munich next Wednesday to qualify for the quarter-finals.

In contrast, Atalanta is faced with the near-impossible task of winning by at least six goals to nil at Bayern's home ground.

Bayern's goal fest began in the 12th minute after Josip Stanisic pounced on a loose ball in the Atalanta penalty box.

Bayern doubled their lead in the 22nd minute with a powerful Michael Olise strike that beat Atalanta.
