Benavidez moves up to cruiserweight to face WBA and WBO champion Ramirez
  The World Boxing Council  announced that world light heavyweight champion (79.3 kg) David Benavidez will move up to cruiserweight  to face World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization  belt holder Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez.

"The two tall Mexican boxers will enter the ring on May 2 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, right in the middle of the traditional Mexican celebration of Cinco de Mayo," the WBC said on its official website, as monitored .

Benavidez, who was once the WBC super middleweight world champion, will challenge the champion who carries an undefeated record of 31 wins, including 25 knockouts (KO).
