Caesar didn't expect Bogor Hornbills to win big when hosting Rajawali

Bogor Hornbills coach Caesar Camara Peres did not expect his team to win by a large margin over Rajawali Medan in the 2026 IBL match held on Saturday.

"Honestly, I didn't expect it. The Rajawali are a good team, and they play very competitively in almost every match," Caesar said in a press conference after the match at the Tangkas Sports Hall in Bogor.

Bogor Hornbills won the match 104-71, moving up to second place in the IBL standings with 24 points from 13 matches.

According to Caesar, the wide-margin victory benefited his team because it allowed for more extensive player rotation, especially amidst a busy match schedule. Late in the fourth quarter, Caesar deployed local players to counter Rajawali Medan's attempts to close the gap.

"With this kind of margin, I can rotate the squad more and conserve the players' energy for the next match," said the Spanish coach.
