Daniel Wenas praises coach Cesar for building Hornbills' optimism

Bogor Hornbills player Daniel Wenas said the playing system implemented by coach Cesar Camara Peres since the start of the season has built the team's optimism to progress further in this season's IBL competition.

Wenas said this belief had emerged since the team's preparation period, even when the number of players attending training was still limited.

"When Coach Cesar first arrived, we practiced with just the four of us because the other players hadn't arrived yet. From that moment on, I saw that this team could go far," Wenas said in a press conference after the IBL match against Rajawali Medan at the Tangkas Sports Hall in Bogor Regency on Saturday.

In that match, Bogor Hornbills picked up their 11th win of the season, with a big victory of 104-71, which put them in second place in the IBL standings.

According to him, this belief grew stronger after the entire squad, including foreign players, joined in training and began implementing the game system designed by the coach.

Wenas believes that the system implemented by Cesar suits the character of the Bogor Hornbills players, while the recruited foreign players also demonstrate high professionalism in carrying out their roles.

He added that the players' solidarity and professionalism helped the team cope with the tight match schedule throughout the season.
