Citi Foundation-Save the Children collaborate to help North Sumatra flood victims
The Citi Foundation is collaborating with Save the Children Indonesia to provide a comprehensive humanitarian response for children and families affected by flooding in North Sumatra.

"This support includes the establishment of Temporary Learning Spaces , the provision and strengthening of reading corners, and the provision of Back-to-School Kits to assist the post-disaster recovery process," said Hario Widyananto, Country Head of Public Affairs at Citi Indonesia, in an official statement.

As is known, the floods and landslides that hit Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra several months ago have caused damage to homes, schools, and public infrastructure, forcing tens of thousands of families to evacuate.

According to a report from the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education  4,852 schools were affected by the disaster in the Sumatra region, making children one of the most vulnerable groups due to difficulties in accessing education and safe spaces.
