Former Indonesian racer Doni Tata Pradita believes that mental strength is the main advantage of young Indonesian racer Veda Ega Pratama in competing in the Moto3 event this season.
Doni said that Veda's ability to remain confident and brave enough to fight with other racers was a key factor behind his success in achieving a podium finish at the Moto3 Brazilian Grand Prix at the Ayrton Senna Circuit, Goiania, last weekend.
"From my perspective, he's very confident. He's brave in the race and has a great fighting spirit," Doni.
According to the former Moto2 racer, Veda's courage to attack in the final laps also shows the mental maturity of the racer from Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special Region, despite his very young age.
Doni gave an example of how the 17-year-old racer was able to improve his performance after previously finishing fifth in the opening series in Buriram, Thailand, before finally getting on the podium in the next series in Brazil.
