Indonesia will make new history in the world of motorsports after confirmed as the host of the 2026 FIA Rallycross World Cup at the International E-Prix Circuit, Ancol, This event marks the first expansion of rallycross racing into Southeast Asia and the FIA's efforts to expand the sport's reach into new motorsport markets. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said the World Cup format allows for a standalone competition that can reach a wider audience across the globe.
"The FIA Rallycross World Cup will give fans the opportunity to witness this discipline on the global stage in 2026, bringing together drivers from across the region," Ben Sulayem said in an official statement.
He added that although rallycross has a strong base in Europe, holding it in Indonesia is expected to expand participation and strengthen the sport's global footprint.
In this event, top racers will compete using Euro RX1 cars with internal combustion engines in a classic rallycross racing format that features tight battles between racers on the track.
