Indonesian football observer Mohamad Kusnaeni said the Indonesian national team squad called up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup series demonstrates coach John Herdman's realistic approach.
"This shows Herdman's realistic attitude. He realizes this is his first match and it's too risky to make major changes," said Mohamad Kusnaeni when contacted.
He made this statement in response to the summons of 41 players to undergo selection to fill the Indonesian National Team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Series.
Kusnaeni said that in general, Herdman did not make many changes because he continued to call up key players for the national team, excluding those who were injured or serving sanctions.
It is likely that the line-up of players that will be used will not experience major changes.
"We will see a similar formation and player composition to the national team's World Cup qualifying campaign," he said.
