Several Indonesian representatives from the men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles categories have maintained their chances of winning the BWF World Tour Super 300 Swiss Open 2026 after securing their places in the semifinals at the St. Jakobshalle.
In the men's singles, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Alwi Farhan advanced to the top four after winning their respective quarterfinal matches.
Ginting, who started the tournament in the qualifying round, continued his positive trend after defeating Indian representative Tharun Mannepalli in a three-game match 21-19, 19-21, 21-13.
In the match, which lasted over an hour, Ginting was under pressure, especially in the second game. However, the Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist managed to rally in the deciding game, leading 11-6 at halftime before securing the victory.
This result also ended Ginting's long wait to reach the semifinals of an individual tournament, the last time he did so at the 2024 Hong Kong Open.
