Indonesian men's singles player Alwi Farhan immediately shifted his focus to his semifinal match at the 2026 BWF World Tour Super 300 Swiss Open against top seed Li Shi Feng from China after securing victory in the quarterfinals.
"Thank God, it's all thanks to hard work. Not just my own, but also my coaches, my support team, and my parents' prayers. But there's still a long way to go; I still have to face Li Shi Feng in the semifinals tomorrow. I will prepare for the best," Alwi said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association.
Alwi secured his place in the top four after defeating Hong Kong representative Jason Gunawan in two straight games 21-14, 21-15 at St. Jakobshalle, Basel, Friday local time.
