IDC predicts memory shortage will continue until 2027
Technology market analyst International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts the global memory supply crisis will continue until 2027, potentially putting pressure on the computer and other technology device industries.

IDC Research Manager for Worldwide Mobile Device Trackers Jitesh Ubrani said memory prices will likely only start to decline in 2028, although the market is not expected to return to 2025 price levels.

"The memory shortage will continue until at least 2027. We expect prices to start easing in 2028, but the market is unlikely to return to 2025 price levels," Jitesh said.
