Indonesian BMX athlete wins gold at event in Thailand

 
  Indonesian BMX athlete Amellya Nur Syifa won a gold medal at the 2026 ASEAN BMX Racing Cup, which took place in Bangkok.

Amellya won the gold medal in the BMX Racing Women's Elite event. Her gold medal was the only gold medal an Indonesian athlete took home from the championship.

The Indonesian team took home two silver medals. Aditya Fajar Putu Soekarno won the first silver in the BMX Racing Men's Elite category, followed by Rafelino Mahendra in the BMX Racing Men's U23 category.

The Indonesian team also brought home three bronze medals. Rio Akbar won the BMX Racing Men's Elite category, M. Irsyad Panji Putra Asywa won the BMX Racing Men's U23 category, and Fasya Ahsana Rifki won the BMX Racing Men's Elite category.

By winning one gold medal, two silver medals, and three bronze medals, the Indonesian team is entitled to occupy second place in the general medal standings.

Meanwhile, the host Thailand holds the top position in the standings with five gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals.
