KOI wants federations to have a multi-layered monitoring system to protect athletes

The Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), Raja Sapta Oktohari, wants every sports federation in Indonesia to have a multi-layered monitoring system for coaching or training to protect athletes from violence and sexual harassment.

"It's crucial for every sport to have a monitoring system so that training deemed to be in accordance with the code of conduct can be carried out without concern for either athletes or coaches," Raja Sapta Oktohari said when confirmed.

He said this was related to efforts to protect athletes to prevent cases such as alleged violence and sexual harassment that befell rock climbers and kickboxers.
