KPI imposes sanctions on iNews for its "People's Voice" program

 
  The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission  has imposed an administrative sanction in the form of a written warning on the iNews broadcaster's program "Rakyat Bersuara."

In more detail, the program broadcast on March 10, 2026, contained inappropriate words from one of the sources known as Permadi Arya or Abu Janda.

"In principle, discussions and exchanges of arguments are intended to provide insight and enlightenment to the public. Therefore, the selection of resource persons must also take into account their academic credentials, behavior, and appropriate public language," said KPI Chairman Ubaidillah in a statement.

Analyzing the sanctions against iNews, the Coordinator of Broadcast Content Supervision at the Central KPI, Tulus Santoso, explained that the KPI imposed these sanctions after analyzing the broadcast and holding a clarification forum with iNews TV on March 13, 2026.
