Liverpool will be without their first-choice goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, in the first leg of their 2025/26 Champions League round of 16 tie against Galatasaray.
The Brazilian goalkeeper suffered an injury and was not part of the team that departed for Istanbul.
"Ali, of course, participated in the training session, as everyone could see. However, unfortunately, he felt something at the end of the session," said Liverpool manager Arne Slot, as quoted on the club's official.
Slot explained that after being examined by the club's medical team, it was determined that Alisson was not fit enough to play in the match. Therefore, the player was not taken to Turkey for the match, which will be held at RAMS Park.
