Meta's top brass met with the Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid in response to a surprise inspection conducted by the Government regarding Meta's low compliance in handling negative content in Indonesia.
Meutya received a visit from the Director of Public Policy Meta for Southeast & South Asia, Rafael Frankel, and his team at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs Office.
"I can assure you that yesterday's surprise inspection of the Meta office was not symbolic and that improvements will and must be made. This meeting discussed measures to improve compliance with Indonesian regulations," Meutya said.
