The Ministry of Communication and Digital stated that access to Wikimedia services, which are currently restricted, will be normalized again after the registration process for Wikimedia as a Private Electronic System Provider has been verified.
Alexander Sabar, Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, stated that the government appreciates the communication established by Wikimedia regarding its commitment to fulfilling the registration obligations for digital platforms in Indonesia.
"We appreciate the communication that Wikimedia has established and its commitment to follow up on the registration process as a Private Sector ESO, and normalization of access to affected services will be carried out after the registration process is verified," Alexander said in a statement.
