Indonesian U-20 National Team coach Nova Arianto believes that comfort in wearing the national team jersey is an important factor in supporting player performance.
"The national team uniform is a team's identity. I think changing uniforms is normal. Some may like it or dislike it, but what's more important is that the players are comfortable and able to perform," Nova told reporters before team training at Gelora 10 November Stadium.
He explained that in modern football, the comfort factor of match equipment greatly influences player performance because it is related to mobility and self-confidence.
The former Indonesian national team player believes that wearing the new jersey also provides additional motivation for the players to perform optimally.
"If players feel comfortable and confident in the uniforms they wear, it can be an added motivation to give their best performance," said Nova.
