Indonesian U-20 National Team coach Nova Arianto is satisfied with the players' progress during the training camp (TC) over the past two weeks in Surabaya.
"I'm very pleased with the players' progress over the past two weeks, as they've worked very hard during training and tried to understand the game plan we've prepared," Nova told reporters before the team's training session at Gelora 10 November Stadium in Surabaya.
He explained that in the past two weeks, the coaching team has focused on matching the U-20 team's playing style to the senior national team's playing style to ensure continuity in the game system.
According to him, the players responded well to the training program, so the visible progress was quite encouraging.
Nova said the team's agenda in the last few days was not a trial match, but rather joint training with the club.
"Last week we focused on attacking and training with Persela, while this week we're focusing on defending with Persebaya," he said.
Nova added that after the final group training session before Eid, the players would be temporarily sent home to their clubs.
According to Nova, the next TC is scheduled to take place on March 31 after the players have completed their Eid holiday.
