One person was killed in Abu Dhabi and a fire broke out in an industrial area in the Emirate of Fujairah in the UAE on Tuesday morning, as a result of shrapnel from a ballistic missile and a drone attack. Meanwhile, Qatar announced a fire in an industrial area due to shrapnel from an interceptor missile, and Kuwait and Saudi Arabia reported intercepting missile and drone attacks.
The media office of the Fujairah government in the UAE said in a statement that “competent authorities confirmed a fire broke out in the Fujairah petroleum industries area, caused by a drone attack, without any injuries.”
The office stated that “the emirate’s civil defense teams immediately began dealing with the incident and bringing it under control.”
This was preceded by an announcement from the UAE Ministry of Defense that it was dealing with “missile and drone attacks coming from Iran.”
Later, the Abu Dhabi Media Office announced in a statement that “the competent authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are dealing with an incident resulting from the fall of shrapnel in the Bani Yas area, following the interception of a ballistic missile by air defenses, which resulted in the death of a person of Pakistani nationality.”
For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced, in 5 statements, that it had intercepted and destroyed 14 drones that targeted the eastern region of the country at dawn on Tuesday, without providing further details.
In Kuwait, the army announced in a statement that it had intercepted missile and drone attacks targeting the country, without providing further details.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Interior stated on Tuesday morning that the Civil Defense was “dealing with a limited fire in the industrial area resulting from falling debris after intercepting a missile, without any injuries being recorded.”
Since February 28, Tehran has been launching attacks against Arab countries following the Israeli-American aggression against Iran .
Iran says it is not targeting specific countries, but rather what it calls American bases and interests in the region. However, these attacks have caused deaths, injuries, and damage to civilian facilities, including airports, ports, and various buildings, which has been condemned by the targeted Arab countries, who have demanded that it be stopped.
