President Prabowo Subianto stated that the Indonesian nation must not lose to parties who have been exploiting the country's wealth for personal gain.
President Prabowo, in his remarks at the Nuzulul Quran Commemoration event at the State Palace emphasized his commitment to eradicating corruption and various fraudulent practices that are detrimental to the state.
"Indeed, we must eliminate corruption, misappropriation, all improper and bad practices that are prohibited by all religions," he said.
President Prabowo emphasized that no country can progress if its government is unable to rid itself of corrupt practices.
"No country can succeed if its government is unable to rid itself of corruption. This is a religious and historical teaching," he said.
On the same occasion, President Prabowo highlighted the existence of parties who are trying to take the nation's wealth and take it abroad, while the Indonesian people are left in a weak state.
"We must not lose to those who want to take the people's wealth, take it to other countries, and keep the Indonesian nation and people in a weak state," he stressed.
Furthermore, President Prabowo also asked for support and prayers from religious scholars so that the government can uphold truth and justice for all Indonesian people.
