The organizing committee has issued an appeal regarding the match between Malut United FC and PSM Makassar, which will be held , at the Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate City, North Maluku.
The head of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the match, Abdul Mauridz Tuguis, when contacted on Thursday, said that visiting team supporters were not permitted to attend the stadium in person to support their team in the match.
The ban was imposed based on Article 5 Paragraph Super League Regulations and Article 141 of the 2023 Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Disciplinary Code, and taking into account recommendations from security officials.
According to Mauridz, this policy was taken as a preventive measure to ensure the match remains safe, orderly, and conducive for all parties involved.
"We, as the match committee, would like to inform you that visiting team supporters are prohibited from attending the stadium to support their team directly," said Mauridz in an official statement.
He explained that the decision was part of an effort to ensure the smooth running of the match while creating a sporting competitive atmosphere.
The committee wants to ensure that all match activities can proceed without interruption and provide a sense of security for players, officials, and spectators in attendance.
In addition, he said, the committee also requested cooperation from the PSM Makassar club management to convey this information to all supporter communities, both official and unofficial, so that there are no misunderstandings on the field.
