Russell seals his second pole position of the season
  Mercedes driver George Russell recorded his second pole position of the season after being the fastest in qualifying for the Formula 1 Chinese GP sprint race at the Shanghai International Circuit.

Mercedes once again demonstrated its dominance after placing Russell and Kimi Antonelli first and second in the qualifying session in the first series at the Australian GP.

Now the German factory team is back with Russell and Antonelli at the forefront.

In Q1, Russell appeared dominant at the front with a time of 1 minute 33.030 seconds.

Ferrari encountered problems midway through the session when Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton experienced problems with their rear wings.

World champion Lando Norris battles in the top ten against fellow McLaren driver Oscar Piastri.
