Satria Muda coach says players' strong determination resulted in victory
Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung coach Djordje Jovicic said his players' strong determination paid off in a 92-82 victory against Tangerang Hawks Basketball in the 2026 IBL match at the Bandung Arena, Bandung City, West Java, last Saturday night.
According to him, the victory was achieved after the home team improved its performance in the final phase of the match to finish the game which had been tight since the first quarter.
"It was a very important win against them, although I'm not satisfied with the team's performance because we conceded a lot of goals," Jovicic said after the match.
He admitted that his team started the match with a lack of discipline, which gave the opponent space to score points.
However, Pandu Wiguna and his friends rose to play more effectively in the final minutes of the last quarter.
He stated that the players began to improve their cooperation and made the right decisions in executing shots in the last 3 to 4 minutes.
