Dewa United coach Jan Olde Riekerink considers the BRI Super League match between his team and Persija Jakarta at the Jakarta International Stadium, to be very interesting to play.
"We have to overcome the disappointment of being eliminated last week, and I think Persija will at least be an interesting match to play. That's the preparation," Jan said at an online press conference.
Dewa United have been on a poor run of form lately. In their last Super League match, the Banten Warriors were beaten 2-0 by visiting Bhayangkara FC. This was followed by their elimination from the AFC Challenge League after a 2-2 draw with Manila Diggers, resulting in a 3-2 aggregate loss.
This string of poor results should have impacted the Dewa United players' mentality. However, Jan reminded them that disappointment is a common occurrence in sports.
"In sports, you're always going to deal with disappointment. But that's what you build as a team, and it's not a one-on-one game, it's a holistic process. And I think that foundation is strong enough for us to prepare for the next game," said the Dutch coach.
